I can't believe I actually have to make a journal about this. But sadly I have to explain what's going on~

Character Critiques Edition #1 Erik: OK, this is how it’s gonna work. Below we have ten OC’s to work with. We will critique each other. There are two links to go with the OC. One is for their idea. The bottom link directs you to the best place to find official work for that OC done by the creator. Basically, just go nuts and search that place and come up with your opinion for the OC. You can use the stories, artwork, and interviews as a reference. We will do each OC together and only moved on when everyone else has finished.

The OCs here are mostly random. I only excluded OCs that did not fit our criteria. Enjoy.

If any of you happened to have read ~Pinky1babe's recent journal or especially *alem22's journal, apparently me and my friends are "trolls" for apparently giving off critiques about their OCs among other OCs.

And they are not happy. :/

Listen, people, you're thinking about this situation the wrong way. Critiques are SUPPOSE to nikpick the errors and flaws of your characters and/or works; it's IN the name!

That's what we ALL did, but people reacted so irrationally that we, the Riff Squad, are "trolls". I mean, Sammy mentioned that she was so "insulted" that she almost deactivated her account and compared our actions to "cyberbulling". Those are NOT the same thing.

First of all, we're talking about a character that you don't use anymore to begin with and are merely giving our personal feelings and opinions on the character in subject. If we were truly cyberbullies, we would have been pestering the ACTUAL authors, not the FICTIONAL FAN-CHARACTERS.

Second, before you all start flaming torches and hating me and my friends, actually READ the whole thing from top to bottom before claiming what we're doing is wrong. I recall, we DID have positive things to say and the critiques themselves are not "trolling critiques".

Hell, I said THIS about Sammy:

Creep: I do. Sammy, if you do read this, I would only hope you would try to improve on her a little more. You're a good artist and you're bound to do better. :3

We even all agreed that Maddie was way more solid as a character (an improvement, actually), but we wanted you to do a bit better.

If I was a cyberbully, I wouldn't care about Sammy's feelings or heck, even bothering explaining this whole mess to everyone via a journal! But I do. Sammy's been a good friend to me for a long time and I really don't wanna end another friendship like this again. And Emily, the same goes to you.

Erik: OK, then she passes. The character isn't all that bad. Albeit her overall personality is a bit...random and fluttered...and her whole relationship with Ferb isn't very well developed. They just like each other...yeah...that's it.
Creep: Christina could be better but she's not the worst.
North: Quite. For what she is, she's not a bad character.

We didn't make the critiques to outright bash the characters or the authors themselves; we made them as TOOLS! Me and the so-called "trolls" love Phineas & Ferb as much as you guys do and we simply want people to do better and make improvements and do better. Criticism isn't a weapon, it's a tool. The problem is that people can't handle the truth, but if you're gonna be awesome artists and make a different in the art world, you gotta suck it up and deal with it.

Instead of being upset about US, why NOT fix the flaws of your OCs? And yes, we know Sammy and Christina are old OCs, but still it applies to ALL OCs.

True, we all acted very risque about the OCs, I'll admit it myself, but either way, we're giving out our input, hoping people would actually make their characters even better than before. You guys, of course, have ALL the power to ignore us; you could easily hit the back button off the spork and walk away like nothing happened. If you guys really don't care about our opinions, then why are you making these journals and stuff for other people to see?

Oh, to give off your opinions? Well, we're doing the same. How would YOU like it if people denied you the freedom to give off your thoughts, your idea or your input?

Now, I'm sorry I had to do this, but I had to, okay? Emily, Sammy, I'm sorry about the crap with the critiques, okay? Me and the "trolls" have minds too and opinions just like you guys do, even if it's not the conventional way of critiquing.
